MCS Cultivators

Rekord's modular cultivation systems for greater flexibility and increased output.
Robust construction and a carefully designed arrangement of leveling bar, cultivating tines and rollers makes the MCS the ideal cultivator for a wide range of UK soil conditions.

The MCS 3000 features a heavy duty channel section steel levelling board with screw jack height adjustment. A 450 mm diameter front roller followed by 28 spring tines in 3 rows after which is one row of 29 light soil leveling tines and followed by a 380 mm diameter roller. The tine depth is adjusted by screw jacks. |
Options to all the MCS Thousand Series include Spiral or Packer Rollers, Star Cleaners for Spiral Rollers, Air Drill kit and Hydraulic linkage.
| The MCS 4000, 5000 and 6000 are hydraulically folding cultivators with the same arrangement of adjustable levelling board, tines and press rollers as the MCS 3000 above but built in two sections which when folded for transport leave adequate space above the main frame to fit an air operated drill if required. In the working position the two sections individually follow the ground and the working widths are 4, 5 and 6 metres respectively. |

| The MCS Hundred series have been designed for secondary cultivation to produce a good seed bed using medium powered tractors. The working widths mirror the Thousand series above but the folding models fold to a transport width of only 2.6 metres and are not designed for a mounted drill. | |

The MCS400F pictured to the left is made up with two 2 metre folding sections so giving both easy transport and tine maintenance. The robust folding frames have three rows of fixed tine bars with 12mm x 32mm spring tines with optional spacing of 95 or 100mm using 36 or 42 tines. The depth of work is set by the rear rollers with simple but strong fish plates and pin systems and the front heavy steel leveling boards are adjusted with screw jacks. The tractor's top link is set to level the tine bars, but if required an optional hydraulic top link can be used to allow on the move control of the leveling board height to suit varying soil conditions. The rear rollers can optionally be cage wheel, spiral or packer. |
As well as producing excellent traditional seed beds, both the Thousand and Hundred series are very useful for preparing early ploughed land to produce a stale seed bed for later semi direct drilling with the modern generation of drills.
