Silage Tiller Attachment

The Sam4 range of self propelled diet feeders are equipped as standard with a front silage tiller but the trailed  Sam4 can also optionally be fitted with a new and powerful silage tiller.

Fitted at the rear of the feeder this new tiller has a working width of 1.8 metres and is the most powerful on the market,  It can load 1 tonne of maize silage per minute and it's special blades and two hydraulic motors allow quick loading of not only maize but also dense grass silage which is pre-chopped at the same time. Penetration into the silage is deep and it is efficiently loaded leaving the ground clean.

The tiller works down in the horizontal position with it's descending speed  automatically controlled to suit the material and the rear hydraulically controlled scraper adjusts to correct position.

The arms that carry the tiller are now mounted on the external side of the hopper and neither impede filling the hopper or raising the height of the feeder.

The silage tiller will load most feed materials and can effectively clear straw leaving a clean floor.
