A Profit Saver :- the Sund Raking Pickup.

  • Reduce field losses at harvest
  • No swathing or cutting
  • Reduce stone and weed problems
  • Reduce combine damage
  • Will pick up other swathed crops
Harvesting peas in the past has been a costly headache especially when the crop is flat and damp.  Now the Sund Raking Pickup makes harvesting easier and less expensive The peas are picked straight from the field in one single operation, no cutting or windrowing is required. Stones and weeds are left in the field whilst handling losses, fuel and labour costs and combine damage are substantially reduced.  In those situations where flat dampish crops make the use of crop lifters pretty well impossible the Sund can still proceed with speed and ease. Harvesting can continue late into the evening.  The absence of green weeds entering the combine prevents troublesome gluey build up on the combines screens, walkers and elevators.

The pickups can be supplied from 2.75 to 6.70 metres working width and can be fitted on any appropriate header.  Mostly our customers use an old second hand header kept for the purpose to save time. We do however supply new " short " headers for the purpose which can be fitted to any combine.
